How to have a Great Day Succeed in Life

Graeme MURRAY

Welcome to our, meaning yours and my, success-themed blog post. In the past I've given you insight to my background and where I've come from.   Most of what I have told you is true and I hope you learn something from it.

It is now time to start looking forward. What is success? Do you want to be successful? What fills in the gaps between now and what we want to be? Going forward I will share some techniques, strategies, mindsets and insights so that you can be anything you want to be now and in the future, and feel good about yourself.  Be a success and be happy with what you have created.

First, I would like to talk about how to improve your day. Sounds like a simple concept, but it is easy to get caught in a rut or routine without noticing. Lets get out of that rut.  Having a great day does not mean accomplishing something amazing every day or proving to everyone how amazing you are.  Having a great day is feeling good about yourself and knowing you are on the right path to accomplishing your goals.

Does your typical day look like this? Wake up, eat breakfast, take a shower, brush your teeth, get to work , have lunch, go back to work, go home, tidy up, eat dinner, watch Netflix and fall sleep. All of this followed by the same thing the next day. What if there was a way to do this and feel like you were going somewhere? What if this routine was a step towards your success or your goal? The answer to this question is the difference between a day of passive activity and a great day.  Let's break that routine.

Schedule

There is a simple answer to how to have a great day. You might not believe it is that simple, but hear me out. The answer starts with having a goal.  Set a goal to be accomplished today, tomorrow, next week, next year or five years from now. I will get into productive goal setting techniques in future blog posts, but for now, consider this.  If, at the end of every day, you can answer "Yes!" to  this question: "Today, I am one step closer to accomplishing my goal of...", then you are having a great day! You have broken the routine! you are on your way to Success.
